How do I access my website to make changes, update listings, etc?
We provide you with a log-in to AgentCenter.com. Once you log-in to AgentCenter, you will have access to edit your site, update listings, check e-mail and much more.

Can I edit my website?
We offer an easy-to-use online page editor that enables you to edit your site. You may change the text on most pages. In addition, you may change graphics and links. We also provide you with a custom page builder that allows you to create custom pages.

How many pages do I get with my site?
Your website consists of a large number of pages. In addition, you can create as many pages as you would like. This means that your site can have hundreds of pages.

Can I customize my website?
Yes. You can customize your website. We will add your logo and picture free of charge. We provide you with an image library of buttons, headers and graphic images. To change the style of your website all you have to do is select the new options and publish your website. It's easy and takes just a few minutes.

Will my website be found by search engines?
In AgentCenter you can access the Title, Keywords and Description tags, and Head and Body of all your editable content pages. You can also add new content pages. Editing and adding content is important in order to appear in search engine results.

Myers offers live training, tutorials and individual assistance to help you edit pages, add new content and be seen at search engines.

How will people know to go to my website?
Once your site is up and running you will need to advertise your site. We offer free, live training and marketing tutorials to help you market your website. We also recommend putting your web address on your business cards, flyers and all other marketing collateral.

Do you submit my site to search engines?
We submit your URL to top, free search engines. Submitting your site can get your website URL (web address) to appear in search results. It costs money to list your URL in the directory of many search engines (e.g., Yahoo! and AOL).

Can my listing be at the top of search engine results?
There is a difference between natural (unpaid, organic or algorithmic) and sponsored (e.g., pay-per-click) search results. Sponsored search results are paid advertising. Natural results are unpaid and make up the bulk of search engine output.

You can pay to be seen at the top of search results. Search engine optimization is usually required for a URL to appear at the top of natural search results.

If I can't get any traffic to my site, is it worth having a website?
Yes. Your website is a tool which can benefit your customers and you. Your website can provide answers and convenience when you aren't available. Your site can present listings, helpful, consumer-oriented content and much more. Even if there were no search engines your website would be extremely valuable.

Can I buy your website and host it with my current ISP?
Your Myers' site includes Myers' proprietary products. These products can only run on Myers' servers. In addition, we are constantly improving our products. As a result you cannot host your Myers' site with another provider.

Our websites are very reliable. We guarantee 99% uptime. We continuously monitor our websites and automatically alert our staff should any site go down for any reason.

What happens if the website does not work?
If your website is down or does not work, we will issue you a pro-rated refund for the duration of the time it did not function.

Domain/E-Mail Questions

Do I get my own domain name? Do I get a custom e-mail address?
Yes. You can register a new domain name or transfer an existing one. If you register a new domain name, there is a domain registration fee. You also get a custom e-mail address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).

Why do I have to pay extra for a domain name?
You do not have to pay extra for a domain name if you already have it registered. However, if we are registering a domain for you, there is a domain registration fee that is independent of the website hosting fee. Domain registration is required to ensure legal ownership and usage of the domain name.

Who owns my domain name?
You own your domain name as long as you continue to pay your domain registration fees. Should you not pay your domain registration fees, your domain will lapse and someone else may register the domain name.

Is there any benefit to using more than one domain name? What costs are involved?
Using multiple domain names can provide benefits. Some companies use multiple domains to market their services to different market segments or geographical areas. Additional charges apply to add additional domains.

I already own a domain name. Can I use it?
Yes, you may transfer your domain to Myers at no charge. You will continue to pay domain registration fees to your domain registrar.

How many e-mail accounts do I get with the website?
You get 100 MB of e-mail storage space to support unlimited e-mail accounts. Additional e-mail space can be purchased. (You can create unlimited e-mail accounts with a minimum size of 1MB up to your total storage space.)

Can I use POP to retrieve e-mail with Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora?
Yes. This option is provided free of charge.
